Who writes this, and how it makes money
Gacha Report is written by BullishTBH. It exists because the crypto TCG gacha category is full of expected-value claims and almost entirely free of anyone checking them — and because the numbers that decide whether a pack is worth opening are published in plain sight, if someone bothers to multiply them together.
What makes this different from the other sites
We buy the packs. We open them. We ship the cards home, pay the customs bill, and publish what the whole round trip cost — including the times it went badly. A platform review written without ever taking a card out of a vault is a review of a website, not a service.
Everything is server-rendered, so every number is in the page source rather than behind JavaScript. Every figure carries the date it was captured. Where we compute something, the inputs are named and linked so you can disagree with a specific number rather than a vibe.
How we get paid, stated plainly
Referral commissions from platforms we cover. Affiliate links are marked as sponsored and routed through a /go/ redirect so the destination lives in one auditable place. We currently hold referral relationships with Collector Crypt, MNSTR, Courtyard, Phygitals.
Most of those programmes pay in platform points rather than cash — and points buy packs, which return less than they cost. So the face value of our commissions overstates what we actually earn. The full arithmetic, including what our points are really worth, is on the methodology page.
What the money does not buy: placement, grades, or conclusions. The platform that pays us most is not the one we rank highest, and we publish that a platform’s machines return 93.7–95.1¢ per dollar on the same site where we link to it. If those two things ever conflict, the number wins.
What we will not publish
- A number we cannot trace to a source. If we can't show where it came from, it doesn't ship.
- An estimate dressed as a disclosure. Published odds and our own estimates are labelled separately, always.
- A referral code with an invented benefit. Where a platform offers new users nothing, we say so — even on the page trying to earn a commission.
- Language implying profit is expected. It isn't, on any platform we have measured.
- An accusation we haven't put to the accused. Serious findings go to the platform for comment before they go on the site.
Corrections we’ve made
A site that never corrects itself is not careful, it is just not checking. Every retraction we have made is listed here with its date, including the ones where we were the ones who got it wrong.
- Called Collector Crypt's marketplace "over 100,000 cards". That is the number of cards held on the platform; active listings are about 9,672. Corrected on three pages.
- Said gacha.game's physical delivery was not live and users could not withdraw. Wrong — redemption works, and their Delivered Duties Paid option is the best international tax handling we have found. Retracted.
- Credited a platform for unusual transparency in publishing its card-valuation method. Near-identical wording turns out to be standard across the category. Credit withdrawn.
- Repeated a widely-published claim that Collector Crypt charges a 2% vault withdrawal fee. We ran the redemption flow ourselves and found no such fee. Retracted.
- Proposed that Courtyard's shipping doubles when a redemption mixes graders. Tested it; the hypothesis was wrong. Retracted the same day.
If you think something here is wrong, the fastest way to get it changed is a specific, sourced challenge — a figure, where it came from, and what it should be. That gets a faster response than a general complaint, and it has already worked more than once.
